How to mirror your Android phone to a Fire TV Stick
You have two ways to get your Android screen on a Fire TV. Many phones can use Fire TV's own built-in Display Mirroring. If yours cannot, or it is unstable, the free Screen Mirroring app installs a small receiver from the Amazon Appstore and connects with a code.

Step by step - the app method
Mirror Android to Fire TV with the receiver
Install the Receiver App on the Fire TV
In the app, tap Install Receiver App, then Open Amazon to install the free Screen Mirroring Receiver from the Amazon Appstore. On a Fire TV without the app, open tvee.app in the Silk browser instead.
Join the same Wi-Fi
Put your Android phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the Fire TV.
Choose Connect via QR or ID
In the app, choose Connect via QR or ID. The app launches the receiver on the Fire TV, and a QR code and a six character ID appear.
Scan the QR code or enter the ID
Scan the QR code on the Fire TV, or type the six character ID and tap Connect ID.
Start mirroring
Tap Start Mirroring, then tap Start now on the Android screen capture prompt.
Your Android appears on the Fire TV
Your phone screen now shows on the Fire TV. To end, tap Stop Mirroring in the app.
Receiver will not install or connect? Check that both devices share the same Wi-Fi, and that the Fire TV can install from the Amazon Appstore. The troubleshooter has more fixes.
Prefer the built-in way? Use Fire TV Display Mirroring
On the Fire TV remote, press and hold the Home button and choose Mirroring (or open Settings, Display and Sounds, Enable Display Mirroring). Then on Android open Smart View, Cast, or Wireless projection and pick the Fire TV. This works on Android phones that still support Miracast.
