FAQ
Common questions about mirroring an iPhone to a Samsung TV
Can you mirror an iPhone to a Samsung TV?
Yes. On a 2018 or newer Samsung TV you can use AirPlay directly from Control Center. On any Samsung TV, old or new, open the receiver in the TV's web browser and connect the free Screen Mirroring app with a six character code.
How do I mirror my iPhone to a Samsung TV without AirPlay?
Open tvee.app in the Samsung TV's web browser, then open the Screen Mirroring app on the iPhone and connect with the six character code shown on the TV. This works on any Samsung TV, including older models with no AirPlay.
Why is there no sound when I mirror my iPhone to a Samsung TV?
AirPlay carries sound automatically. With the Screen Mirroring app, audio is a PRO feature that needs Super Mode, so upgrade to send sound, and make sure the silent switch on the iPhone is off.
Do I need the SmartThings app to mirror to a Samsung TV?
No. Either AirPlay or the Screen Mirroring app is enough. You do not need Samsung SmartThings for screen mirroring from an iPhone.
