How to mirror your phone to a computer
Want your iPhone or Android screen on a laptop, for a presentation, a recording, or a bigger view? The computer's own web browser is the receiver, so there is nothing to install on it. Your phone gets the free app, and the two connect with a short code.
Quick answer
To mirror your phone to a computer, open tvee.app in the computer's web browser. A QR code and a six character code appear. Open the free Screen Mirroring app on your phone, tap Start Mirroring, then scan the QR code or type the code. Your phone appears in the browser.
- An iPhone or Android phone
- A Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook or Linux computer with a browser
- Both on the same Wi-Fi (or use Super Mode over the internet)
- The free Screen Mirroring app
Step by step
Mirror your phone to a Windows PC or Mac
Open the receiver on the computer
On the computer, open a web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) and go to tvee.app. A QR code and a six character code appear.
Join the same Wi-Fi
Put your phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the computer. If they are on different networks, Super Mode (on by default) connects over the internet.
Open the app and tap Start Mirroring
Open the free Screen Mirroring app on your phone and tap Start Mirroring.
Scan the QR code or enter the code
Tap Scan and point the camera at the QR code on the computer, or type the six character code shown in the browser.
Allow screen capture
On Android, tap Start now on the system prompt. On iPhone, tap the broadcast button, choose Screen Mirroring, then tap Start Broadcast.
Your phone appears on the computer
Your phone screen now shows in the browser on the computer. To end, tap Stop Mirroring in the app.
Want it the other way round, a computer screen onto a TV? Use the web sender. If the connection will not start, the troubleshooter has a checklist.
Nothing to install on the computer
The receiver runs entirely in the browser, so you do not need admin rights or any download on the computer. That makes this handy on a work laptop or a shared machine.

FAQ
Common questions about mirroring your phone to a computer
Can I mirror my phone to a laptop?
Yes. The laptop's web browser is the receiver, so there is nothing to install on the computer. Open tvee.app in the browser, then connect the Screen Mirroring app on your phone with the code shown.
Does it work on both Windows and Mac?
Yes. Any modern browser works as the receiver, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, on Windows, Mac, Linux or a Chromebook.
Can I connect over the internet instead of the same Wi-Fi?
Yes. The app's Super Mode, on by default, connects over the internet, so the phone and the computer do not have to be on the same network.
Is there sound?
Sharing the picture is free. Sound is a PRO feature that needs Super Mode switched on.
