How to mirror to any smart TV without an app on the TV
Most guides tell you to install something on the TV. You do not have to. Nearly every smart TV already has a web browser, and that browser can be the receiver. Your phone gets the free app, the TV gets nothing new, and the two connect with a short code. This works on Samsung, LG, Sony and most other brands.
Quick answer
To mirror to any smart TV without a TV app, open the TV's web browser and go to tvee.app. A QR code and a six character code appear. Open the free Screen Mirroring app on your phone, tap Start Mirroring, then scan the QR code or type the code. Your screen appears on the TV.
- A smart TV with a web browser (Samsung, LG, Sony, most Android TVs)
- An iPhone or an Android phone
- Both on the same Wi-Fi network
- The free Screen Mirroring app
Step by step
Mirror any phone to any smart TV
Open the receiver on your TV
On the TV, open the web browser and go to tvee.app. The page shows a QR code and a six character code. Leave this page open on the TV.
Join the same Wi-Fi
Connect your phone to the same Wi-Fi network as the TV. This is the normal way to connect. Super Mode, which is on by default, can also connect over the internet if the two are on different networks.
Open the app and tap Start Mirroring
Open the free Screen Mirroring app on your phone and tap Start Mirroring.
Scan the QR code or enter the code
Tap Scan and point the camera at the QR code on the TV. Or type the six character code shown on the TV into the ID box. The app calls it the 6-digit ID.
Allow screen capture
On Android, tap Start now on the system prompt. On iPhone, tap the broadcast button, choose Screen Mirroring, then tap Start Broadcast and wait for the short countdown.
Your screen appears on the TV
Your phone screen now shows on the TV. To end the session, tap Stop Mirroring in the app.

No web browser on your streaming stick?
Roku, Fire TV and Chromecast have no built-in browser. For those, the app uses a direct connection instead. Use the dedicated guides: Roku, Fire TV, or Chromecast.

FAQ
Common questions about mirroring to any smart TV without an app
Can I mirror to a TV without installing anything on the TV?
Yes. Most smart TVs have a web browser. Open tvee.app in it and the TV becomes the receiver. Only your phone needs the free Screen Mirroring app, so there is nothing to install on the TV itself.
Which TVs work with the browser method?
Any TV with a modern web browser, such as Samsung Tizen TVs, LG webOS TVs, and most Android and Google TVs. Roku, Fire TV and Chromecast have no built-in browser, so use the dedicated guide for those devices instead.
Do the phone and TV need the same Wi-Fi?
Normally yes, both devices share the same Wi-Fi. With Super Mode, which is on by default, the app can also connect over the internet.
Is there sound?
Sharing the picture is free. Sound is a PRO feature and needs Super Mode switched on. Whether the TV plays the audio also depends on the TV's browser.
