How to mirror your computer to a Fire TV
A Fire TV has no built-in browser on the home screen, but it does have the Silk browser. That is all you need. Open the receiver in Silk, share your computer screen from a browser tab, and you are on the big screen, with nothing to install on the computer.
Quick answer
To mirror a computer to a Fire TV, open the Silk browser on the Fire TV and go to tvee.app to get a six character code. On the computer, open tvee.app/start, enter the code, choose your screen, and click Share.
- A Windows PC, Mac, Chromebook or Linux computer
- An Amazon Fire TV Stick or box with the Silk browser

FAQ
Common questions about mirroring a computer to a Fire TV
Do I install anything on the computer?
No. The web sender runs in your browser at tvee.app/start. Nothing to install on the computer.
What do I open on the Fire TV?
Open the Silk browser and go to tvee.app, which shows the code. On a Fire TV where Silk is missing, install the free Screen Mirroring Receiver from the Amazon Appstore instead.
Can I mirror over the internet?
Yes. The connection is peer to peer over WebRTC, so the computer and the Fire TV do not have to be on the same network.
Why did mirroring stop after a minute?
Free web-sender sessions are time-limited. Upgrade to PRO to remove the limit and to send sound.
